Austin Hua, BS

Austin Hua graduated from Oregon State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. The Montana State University master's program and dietetic internship have been a great experience.

Ashlyn Taber, BS

Ashlyn is a Montana State University MS/DI student graduating in May. Her dietetic passions include working with pediatric populations, community nutrition, and preventative medicine. 

Chloe Chavers, BS

Chloe is a Montana State University Dietetic Intern and Masters Student graduating in May. She is passionate about pursuing her dietetics career in Montana and prioritizing individualized nutrition with a whole-systems approach.

Rachel Topf, MS

Rachel Topf received her Master’s degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science from Montana State University. Her Master’s research focused on carbohydrate fueling in skimo racing. She has worked as a youth nordic skiing and skimo coach and has coached many endurance runners and skiers. 

Shelby Lenox, BS

Shelby Lenox received her Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition from Montana State University. She worked as a graduate assistant for Montana State’s sports dietitian, and provided nutritional support for the football, track, and tennis teams.

Taylor Anderson, BS

Taylor Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Montana State University and is a master's Student and Dietetic Intern at Montana State University. Her passion for dietetics is driven by a desire to support individuals in their personal health journey through nutrition counseling while fostering a positive relationship with food.

Jordyn Berglund, BS

Jordyn Berglund earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Kansas State University and is a master's Student and Dietetic Intern at Montana State University. She is passionate about providing nutrition guidance that supports both physical and mental well-being and promoting equitable food access and sustainable dietary approaches.

Claire Knutson, BS

Claire Knutson with a Bachelor of Science, Food & Nutrition from Montana State University. Claire is currently working on completing her Master's of Science Dietetic Systems Leadership and Dietetic Internship through Montana State University. 

Kaylah Kilby, BS

Kaylah Kilby holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Maine. She is currently completing her dietetic internship while pursuing a master's degree in Dietetic Systems Leadership. Her research focuses on Indigenous foodways and the health of Indigenous populations. She is a proud member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe of Pleasant Point, Maine.

Lauren Black, MS

Lauren is a Dietetic Intern at Montana State University with a passion for food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, nutrition policy, and food systems. She holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University and has diverse experience, including work with the Texas Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, conducting diet research in a randomized controlled trial, and involvement in animal studies on nutrition-related disease states. 

Shelby Duncan, BS

Shelby is a graduate student in Dietetic Systems Leadership who is curious and passionate about all aspects of nutrition, and she loves to explore the connections between the individual, institutional, and systemic factors that influence how and what we eat. Her educational experiences while at MSU have been diverse and have ranged from working in clinical nutrition to teaching sustainable food systems classes. Her hope is to empower others to have their own nutrition “light bulb” moments.   

Cassidy Crawford, BS, CHI

Cassidy Crawford is originally from Hayden, Colorado and completed her Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition at Montana State University. She also earned the Certified Healthcare Interpreter - Spanish Certification which she often used during undergraduate research and work with Proyecto SALUD lab where scientists and Latinos unite against health disparities. She is completing a Master of Science in Dietetic Systems Leadership and a Dietetic Internship at MSU. After graduation and successful completion of the CDR exam Cassidy plans to pursue a career in community nutrition. She is completing a Master of Science in Dietetic Systems Leadership and a Dietetic Internship at MSU. After graduation and successful completion of the CDR exam Cassidy plans to pursue a career in community nutrition.  

Grace Garzini, BS

Grace Garzini is originally from Geyserville, California. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition at California Polytechnic State University. Grace is completing her Masters of Science in Dietetic Systems Leadership and a Dietetic Internship at MSU. Grace is still deciding on which field she would like to pursue in the future; however, she is very interested in working with pediatrics or pregnant individuals. Grace’s interest in working with this research project was because diabetes has affected her family and loved ones. 

Nicolette Paulus, BS

Nicolette Paulus is from Hood River Oregon and completed her undergraduate degree in Food and Nutrition at Montana State University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Dietetic Systems Leadership. After graduation, Nicolette hopes to work in the field of community nutrition. She is passionate about improving food security and working to ensure communities have access to nutritious food.  

Cara Eaton, MS

Cara Eaton is from Portland Oregon and completed her undergraduate degree in Food and Nutrition at Montana State University in 2021. She then earned master’s degree in Dietetics from Johnson and Wales University in 2024. Now, she is finishing up her didactic practice hours before she sits for the RD exam. After the internship, she hopes to work in a private practice setting focusing on prenatal nutrition. She is eager to find sustainable solutions and promote equitable access to healthy food in rural communities. 

Allison Varineau, BS

Allison Varineau is a master’s student in Dietetic Systems Leadership at Montana State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Iowa State University and is pursuing her Registered Dietitian credential. Allison's interest in offal utilization stems from her passion for sustainable food systems and exploring innovative ways to reduce food waste while addressing nutrition-related barriers.

Conrad Wong, BS

Conrad Wong is a master’s student in Dietetic Systems Leadership at Montana State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is currently pursuing his Registered Dietitian credential. Through this research, Conrad aims to explore practical solutions for integrating underutilized food products into local markets, fostering both sustainability and community health.
